The battery investigation, over the thrown microphone involving Cardi B has been dropped by the US police.

 


The incident happened over the weekend when someone, from the audience seemed to throw water at the performer.


A video of the WAP star taking matters into her hands at Drais Beachclub spread widely on social media during that time.


However she won't be facing any charges as the police stated there is not evidence to support it.


"After reviewing this case and consulting with the Clark County District Attorneys Office we have decided to close this case due, to evidence " stated the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department in a statement shared by PA news agency.


No legal charges will be brought against her regarding this incident.


Lawyers representing the Grammy Award winning artist expressed their gratitude to the police for their diligent handling of the situation according to reports, from sources.


What occurred?

Videos captured by fans from angles show security personnel surrounding the individual responsible at the front of the crowd while retrieving the rappers microphone.


Earlier footage from the concert displayed Cardi B requesting that someone in the audience spray her from behind as she turned away from them.


Later during the performance she clarified that she had previously asked for water to be sprayed on her back based on her instructions. However she objected when another audience member unexpectedly threw water at her face.


Following this incident a show attendee in Las Vegas reported a battery. After investigation law enforcement authorities have determined that no crime was committed.


It has been reported that the microphone in question is now being auctioned on eBay by a company owner and has already reached a bid of, over $99,000.


Why are fans resorting to throwing objects at artists during performances?Cardi B gained recognition, for her songs like "I Like It " "Up " "Bodak Yellow," and her collaborative track with Megan Thee Stallion, "WAP," known for its bold and provocative rap verses.
