During a graduation ceremony a woman, from Nigeria reportedly took away a two month baby.

An unidentified woman, tall and of complexion has allegedly abducted a two month baby named Usman Idris from his mother during a school graduation ceremony, in Ilọrin, the capital of Kwara State.

According to sources from Vanguard the incident took place around 3;00 pm on Saturday at the Deeper Life area within the school premises in Sawmill, Ilọrin.

The mother of the missing child, known as Sekinah or Iya Mujidat confirmed this distressing event to journalists in Ilorin.

Reportedly the suspect swiftly absconded with the baby when Sekinah went to collect her sons graduation certificate during the ceremony.

Sekinah provided a description of the suspect as a woman with complexion who was dressed in a purple Ankara outfit and wore a black headscarf.

Recalling her ordeal she shared "She approached me two weeks ago expressing an interest in learning how to make snacks. I agreed to teach her. Did not have any knowledge, about her family members or where she resides. I also don't possess her contact number."

"We attended the graduation together. She kindly offered to help me carry my baby while I accompanied my son for his certificate collection. Unfortunately that was the time we saw her."

"We have already filed a report, at the police station, in 'A' Division, Surulere, Ilorin. However we are still waiting for a response " the mother mentioned.

I tried reaching out to the police spokesperson, Ajayi Okasanmi (SP). Unfortunately he did not answer my calls before I submitted this report.
